Let’s go on a safari!
Today P6/7 turned into safari guides and had some fun! We watched videos of real safaris and thought about the differences between them and zoo’s, in preparation for a creative writing task coming up. We also talked about ‘The big five’ and discussed who they were and what makes them unique compared to other safari animals.
In our maths we had a problem solving challenge booklet to complete. We have been looking at area and perimeter recently so we had some challenges to work out areas and perimeters of various animal safari enclosures.
We then headed to the computer suite to do some research on some safari animals that we are not as familiar with such as Impalas, Kudu’s, black mambas and lots more, and created fact files on these.
A very busy day!
