This week Nursery have been exploring real eggs! We have talked about where eggs come from, the different kinds of animals that lay eggs, how we use them and what happens to them once they have been laid by the hens. We have also been sharing together and discussing the story “Little Lumpty”.
Today we had lots of fun cracking and exploring all the different parts of an egg. We described how they felt. Some of us thought the eggs felt, “slippery”, “slimy”, “looked like cheese”, “yucky”, “soft”, “heavy”, “smooth”, and “crunchy”. We even discovered that the eggs had the number 4 on them, the same as our age!
