Last week in Fair Hill the whole school participated in a ‘Money Awareness Week’.
P1 spent time working with 1p coins and learning to make amounts, as well as thinking about jobs and why we go to work.
The P2-P7 classes participated in Young Enterprise programmes focusing on different areas of life. The topics included ‘Ourselves’, ‘Our Families’, ‘Our Community’, ‘Our City’ and ‘Our World’. Time was spent building confidence with money and making good decisions financially. Children were encouraged to work together to complete fun tasks and games. They developed their use of financial language and learned the benefits of saving money and making wise decisions, all in a fun way!
