Eco update from the ECO COMMITEE and Eco club
ECO update for FEBRUARY
We now have 1000s of batteries counted in school and we are well on the way to our 10,000 BIG BATTERY HUNT TARGET. The Eco committee along with many volunteers have been very busy helping all classes and we enjoyed collating our latest Energy Saving Challenge. The totals submitted were as followed:
Day 1:Reducing your shower time by 1 minute: 123 pupils
Day 2: Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth: 132 pupils
Day 3: Unplug any electrical items you're not using: 125 pupils
Day 4: Ask an adult to turn down the thermostat by 1 degree for 5 days: 123 pupils
Day 5: Turn the lights off when you leave the room: 133 pupils.
Thank you for all the Cash for Clobber contributions that are already coming into school.
In the month of March we hope to work outdoors tidying up and planting a wildflower area.
