We were very fortunate this morning to have Sarah's mum, Priya and Sarah's auntie, Sangeeta Mani join us in P6/7 to tell us all about India. Priya grew up in India and moved over to Northern Ireland to study when she was younger and Sangeeta still currently lives in India. Sangeeta has been over in Northern Ireland for the past 3 weeks visiting family.
P6/7 learnt a lot of new facts about India, setting them up with good knowledge for their topic, India, which they study in the summer months.
We learnt all about the flag and what it represents, we looked at what locals grow in their fields and the different spices they use. We touched on how people travel in India and also at how they dress and lots more!
We had a great morning and learnt a lot of new and interesting things. Thank you very much Sangeeta and Priya!
