African Adventures with Rev. George Okikiolu
Today P6/7 had the pleasure of welcoming Rev. George Okikiolu to our classroom.
George came in his African attire and taught the children some African language. George was so impressed with the knowledge the children already knew about Africa. P6/7 then got the opportunity to ask George some questions about Africa, such as where specifically was George from in Africa? How long has he been living in Northern Ireland? What made George move to Northern Ireland and much more!
George then proceeded to teach the children some rhythms on our African drums. They had a blast! Afterwards George taught the children some dance moves and we had a very musical afternoon.
P6/7 want to thank Rev. George very much for his visit. It was fantastic hearing first hand what it was like living in Africa.
Be sure to check out the videos and pictures of our exciting afternoon below.
