Welcome to Mrs Watson & Miss Hyland's P1/2
ewatson525@c2kni.net

Hi everyone,

We hope you are all keeping well and are managing to complete some of the activities from the 'Home Learning pack' and read a few books from the Big Cat ebook series. we're sorry that we can't listen to you read or show you how to complete the tasks but you have mummy and daddy to show you how and maybe even a brother or sister that will enjoy hearing you read.

We will miss sharing the daily poem with you. But if you are able to google 'poems for kids' you could find your own poem of the day.

It's so hard to imagine that this school year might be over. We have really enjoyed getting to know you all and you have been a real pleasure to teach. For the rest of the term, P1 weekly work will be posted on here, the school web page, see below, and we will keep an eye on Purple Mash for any work you want to send us. Meanwhile, work on the numbers 11 and 12. Count out objects, practice writing them, go onto Twinkl and watch the powerpoint about 11 and 12. Use the email address is at the top of this page if you ever need to contact me. P2, please email your email address so you can be invited to join Class Dojo. This will create a virtual classroom for the children to be part of.

Good luck with the tasks, we hope you enjoy at least some of them. Keep reading every day and complete the activity when you've finished the book and remember to do your daily mile whenever you can.

*Parents this is for you:
If you don't get through the tasks that's ok. you will not be asked for anything to be returned to school. Guide your child the best you can through this daunting situation. Home schooling can be tricky (speaking from experience of having a P5 and a Yr9 at home)! Pick your battles and give them a hug. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Take care and look after each other.
